12-fight UFC veteran Sam Sicilia Newest to Signal multi-fight Bellator contract
Good ! Dropping a unanimous decision to promotional newcomer Gavin Tucker at UFC Fight Night 105 back in October, Sicilia dropped to some three-fight losing skid from the UFC and obtained his pink slip from the promotion. I like he’s found a new house using Bellator, and hopefully an equally good or better payday. Win or lose, the Washington native constantly shows up to battle and seems for the end. Congratulations to Sammy Dubs because of his new arrangement, and best of luck on his new chapter.
Frank Mir agrees to deal with Bellator MMA
Nice! The UFC did exactly the ideal thing and released Mir from his contract, which allowed Bellator to sweep up him. My guess is that they promised him a matchup from Fedor Emalianenko, which made him pick Bellator over rival promotions. I like this move by Mir and anticipate seeing him within the Bellator cage. The Fedor matchup would certainly be an intriguing one.

Dillashaw: Mighty Mouse has been’consolation prize’
TJ Dillashaw is finally set to face UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt at UFC 217 in New York City on November 4th, and the most important reason this name fight is presently happening is since UFC flyweight champion Demetrious”Mighty Mouse” Johnson refused to defend his title against Dillashaw if Garbrandt was forced from the UFC 209 contest due to injury. The Duane Ludwig-trained fighter understands that Johnson was not confident in himself to take the challenge. Talking to MMA Junkie Radio, Dillashaw said that the Gabrandt struggle is exactly what he wanted all along and that the Johnson matchup was only a backup plan. He understands that is not a fantastic fight for him wouldn’t accept it,” Dillashaw said. “He’s real worried about the document that he wants to break. Go on and let him do that, I figure.”
White: Ferguson, Lee to struggle for interim lightweight title Alright, now we are talking! Early common consensus is that Ferguson will handily defeat Lee, but personally, I’m not so convinced. Lee has been very impressive as of late, and I like seeing his expansion inside the Octagon. This is a matchup I’m looking forward to seeing, and win or lose, I hope Lee does not suffer any mishaps he’ll make a quick turnaround for December’s UFC 218 in his native Detroit, that will be two weeks after the Ferguson bout.
